How to print from your iPhone to a Brother printer
Brother printers widely support AirPrint, so your iPhone can print to them over Wi-Fi without a driver. Printer App finds the Brother printer and adds the layout controls iOS leaves out.
Print to your Brother printer
- Join the Brother printer to the same Wi-Fi network as your iPhone (from its control panel or the Brother Mobile Connect app).
- Open Printer App and choose what to print.
- Select your Brother printer from the list.
- Choose copies, paper size, and layout, then tap Print.
Older Brother models
If your Brother printer doesn't appear, Brother's own app — Brother Mobile Connect (which replaced iPrint&Scan) — can print to it. Check Apple's AirPrint list to confirm your model.
FAQ
- Does my Brother printer support AirPrint?
- Most current Brother printers do. Look for AirPrint or Apple in the printer's spec sheet, or check Apple's AirPrint printer list for your exact model.
- Why won't my Brother printer connect to my iPhone?
- The two are usually on different Wi-Fi networks, or the printer is asleep. Put both on the same network, wake the printer, and restart it if it still doesn't appear.
